Jun 15, 2014 · I’m trying to find some ammo to use at the USPSA matches in June. I’ll be shooting 9mm out of an M&P 9L (5" barrel). The most readily available seems to be Remington UMC 115gr, but the states velocity of 1,135 fps would give a power factor of 130.5, which isn’t.

Any name brand decent quality range type ammo is going to work just fine. I have a very long way to go before I need to worry about custom loads. The vast majority of the target distance in IDPA & USPSA are close enough that using high end ammo is not going to gain you an advantage. I see the open class and limited class using mostly hand loads.
